Prashant Gupta is a distinguished entrepreneur and seasoned financial executive with more than 25 years of investment experience. As Managing Partner of NEEM Partners, he leads ventures across technology infrastructure, sports management, equipment financing, and gaming.
Prashant is the co-founder and board member of Lancium, Inc., an energy technology and infrastructure company that enables gigawatt-scale power loads to integrate efficiently and flexibly with the electricity grid. The company recently entered a strategic partnership with one of the world’s largest infrastructure investors, underscoring its leadership in this rapidly expanding field.
Together with his Sardinian-born partner, Prashant has acquired a qualified minority stake in Cagliari Calcio S.p.A., where he also serves on the board. Founded in 1920, Cagliari Calcio is one of Italy’s storied football clubs, best known for winning the Serie A championship in 1969–70 under the leadership of legendary striker Gigi Riva.
Prashant is also a co-founder and board member of dais, Inc., a company pioneering AI orchestration with embedded security and governance for enterprise environments. Dais’s deterministic data security framework enables organizations to accelerate AI innovation while maintaining full control over sensitive information.
Prashant’s education began at The Doon School, one of Asia’s premier institutions. He then earned a full scholarship to Muskingum University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics, Accounting, Business, and German, along with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science.
He went on to complete a Master’s in Accounting at the University of Virginia, also on a full scholarship, and taught undergraduate accounting courses at the McIntire School of Commerce.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (inactive) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Prashant began his career at EY, spending six years advising hedge funds and broker-dealers. From 2002 to 2013, he was Partner and Chief Financial Officer at a multi-strategy hedge fund, helping drive substantial growth in assets under management.
Prior to founding NEEM Partners, Prashant served as Chief Financial Officer for a Forbes 400 family office, overseeing a multibillion-dollar investment portfolio encompassing hedge funds, real estate, and gaming. In this role, he led investment financing, deal structuring, accounting, audit, and taxation activities.
A recipient of an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Muskingum University, Prashant has been recognized for his distinguished career and contributions to business and education.
He is also actively engaged in public service, serving on the Illinois Advisory Committee of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and as a board member of Intonation Music, a Chicago-based nonprofit that fosters personal growth and community engagement through music.
Prashant lives in suburban Chicago with his wife of over 25 years and their four children.
