Prashant Gupta, CFA
Prashant Gupta is an entrepreneur and financial executive with more than 30 years of investment experience. As Managing Partner of NEEM Partners, he leads investments and operating ventures across technology infrastructure, sports management, equipment financing, and gaming.
Prashant is a co-founder and board member of Lancium, Inc., an energy infrastructure company that enables the gigawatt-scale power loads demanded by AI hyperscalers. The company counts Blackstone among its anchor investors and Nvidia as a strategic shareholder, following an investment at a reported $10 billion valuation.
Together with his Sardinian-born business partner, Prashant has acquired a significant minority interest in Cagliari Calcio S.p.A., with a pathway to full ownership, and serves on the club's board of directors. Founded in 1920, Cagliari Calcio is one of Italy’s most storied football clubs, celebrated for winning the 1969–70 Serie A championship led by the legendary striker Gigi Riva.
Prashant is also a co-founder and board member of dais, Inc., a pioneer in secure AI orchestration and governance. The company’s data-security framework enables organizations to accelerate AI adoption while maintaining full control over sensitive information.
Prashant began his education at The Doon School, one of Asia’s premier secondary schools. He went on to attend Muskingum University on a full scholarship, graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics, Accounting, Business, and German, with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. He later earned a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Virginia, also on a full scholarship, and taught undergraduate courses at the McIntire School of Commerce.
A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, inactive), Prashant began his career at EY, where he spent six years advising hedge funds and broker-dealers. From 2002 to 2013, he served as Partner and Chief Financial Officer of a multi-strategy hedge fund, playing a central role in the firm’s substantial growth in assets under management.
Before founding NEEM Partners, Prashant was Chief Financial Officer of a Forbes 400 family office, where he oversaw a multibillion-dollar portfolio spanning hedge funds, real estate, and gaming. He led the family office’s financing, transaction structuring, accounting, and tax activities.
Prashant holds an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Muskingum University, recognizing his distinguished professional career and contributions to business and education.
He is also actively involved in public service, serving on the Illinois Advisory Committee of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and on the board of Intonation Music, a Chicago-based nonprofit that promotes personal growth and community engagement through music.
Prashant resides in suburban Chicago with his wife of more than 30 years and their four children.
